Prison Episodes

A Journey Through Confinement and Resistance

Prison Episodes is an interdisciplinary performance based on real experiences of political prisoners, developed from the album Prison Episodes. Blending music, dance, theatre, and real-time motion capture, the work transforms the stage into a living archive of confinement. The audience becomes a witness to the physical and psychological landscape of imprisonment, as human bodies and digital figures intertwine to reveal stories of resistance, survival, and the enduring cost of political oppression.

CODA festivalen og Safemuse presenterer Prison Episodes – en forestilling om politisk fengsling der dansen er det levende bindeleddet mellom et mørkt, moderne musikkverk, et historisk vitnesbyrd og en manipulert, digital verden. Samtidskomponist og teaterkunstner Pouya Pour Amin (Iran) har skapt musikk og manus, basert på personlige erfaringer som kunstner og opposisjonell i sin hjemby Teheran. For å formidle forestillingen har han invitert med dansere/koreografer Anne Golberg Stavn og Jens Trinidad, skuespiller Saba Pouyeshman og digital kunstner Øystein Sørum.
